Welcome to the Sydney Technical High School Home Page.

Sydney Technical High School (Tech) was established in 1911 as a part of Sydney Technical College. The school was originally designed to provide an education to boys and girls that would suit them to enter a range of occupations after further training at Sydney Technical College.

We now cater for boys only and we are one of the early selective schools in New South Wales. Selective schools were established to allow students of high academic ability to study with their intellectual peers.

Teachers are constantly striving to ensure the curriculum is relevant and challenging and that it will meet students' current and future learning needs. For this to occur we strive for a school climate characterised by mutual respect among staff and students in a caring, supportive and sensitive environment. We are very proud of our long tradition of harmonious relationships among students and between students and teacher.

The school is also proud of the outstanding results most students achieve in the Higher School Certificate. Over 80% of students achieve in the top 20% of the State.
